There are 43 extant species of Toucan in 5 different genera (families), however, if you just say “Toucan”, most people I know will think of the striking Toco Toucan (Common Toucan, Giant Toucan, Ramphastos toco).

I was lucky to catch a glimpse of one high in a cage at Jurong Bird Park in 2019, but got much closer to this one at the new Mandai Bird Paradise, Singapore, in 2023.
