Poaka

This is the third Poaka (Pied Stilt, Himantopus himantopus) photo on this site and the third taken in the same small pool in Pāuatahanui Wildlife Reserve wetlands.

Where the first showed an amorous pair, and the second a juvenile, this shot is just a single adult (possibly only just an adult) striding through the pool.
