A tufted duck is standing on a concrete surface. The duck has a glossy black head with a slight iridescent sheen, bright yellow eyes, and a distinctive tuft of feathers on the back of its head. Its bill is bluish-gray, and its body is predominantly dark with some lighter brownish tones. The background is blurred, showing hints of green and yellow, suggesting foliage or a natural setting.

Papango

This Papango (New Zealand Scaup, Aythya novaeseelaniae) had just exited the same lake in Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne as in the other picture on this site. It was walking up the lower dam towards me, so close I barely fit it in the frame.
