The image shows two vibrant birds perched on a metal railing. These birds have striking plumage with a mix of bright orange and deep black colours. Their beaks are a vivid orange, and they have dark eyes. The background is a blurred green, suggesting a natural setting, possibly a garden or forest. It appears to be raining, as there are visible raindrops and water droplets on the railing. The birds are wet, likely from the rain, which makes their feathers appear slightly ruffled.

Dusky Lory

The Dusky Lory (Pseudeos fuscata) is a wonderfully coloured native of New Guinea. This pair were sheltering from a rain storm in the Lory Loft, Mandai Bird Paradise, Singapore.

We were sheltering, too, and had to cut our visit short that day.
